About a week ago I had the privilege to shoot an engagement shoot with a young couple here in Orlando for their upcoming wedding in September of this year. My normal procedure with shoots is to sit down with my clients a week or so ahead of the shoot and talk about the target shots they’d like to achieve and ones I’d like to achieve based on the theme and wish list. We had everything down and all parties were looking forward to the date.
Being in Florida, our weather can change from day-to-day. So with that we had to quickly change our location from outdoor to indoor which thus changes a lot of the theme elements we had planned on utilizing for the shoot. Thankfully this couple was more than willing to comply and switch and adapt.
This is a sample photo from the shoot that we all loved. There’s quite a story with the record player, how close they are, the reason why they’re out of focus, and of course the ring.

We had booked a photo session with a young couple for their engagement over two months ago. When you live in Florida, the weather can be different from day-to-day, and so on the day we planned to shoot it was heavily overcast and rainy. So the decision was made to shoot indoors at the location of where the wedding will be later this year, which was the Rosen Center Hotel.

Here is a sample shot from a product photo shoot I did for a client a few months ago. It was for their new website to launch a clothing line of nostalgic yet fashionable high quality latin styled shirts and dresses. The intended location was supposed to be offsite of my home studio, but due to Florida weather that is never truly predictable plans changed. What you may not realize is that this photo was actually taken at my house. We staged the background and area lights so provide a good setting. The rest is what you see here.

This is a sample of a shoot I did in Downtown Orlando. This couple provided their own chemistry while walking around and allowing me to shoot candidly throughout the time there. It was a fun experience because they allowed me full creative authority on their pictures. What’s great about this is being able to channel in on your true photographic creativity. While I am rather familiar with the area and had some key places I knew I wanted to shoot and how, still being able to create what I wanted was refreshing.

For this week’s photo, I wanted to share one of the shots from a session I did for a good friend of mine when he last visited in Tampa, FL. This photo is of his Dad and the new Grandson of the family.

Last weekend I went out with a few of my friends to the Ritz Carlton for the annual Festival of Speed car show. If you’re not familiar with it, think high-end expensive cars all over the back yard of a hotel. Sprinkle in some concepts, classic Chevrolet’s and Fords, and a few bikes and a few tall models and you’ve got a pretty interesting afternoon. Take a look at some of the shots below and see for yourself.
